This pleasurable museum can be found located in Broad House, a delightful castellated building situated in Nicholas Everitt Park.
The museum offers something for everyone, from a stunning collection of Lowestoft porcelain to civic robes and regalia. It features all of the area's history, including trade and industry, together with details of the town's archaeology.
There is interesting domestic detail, costume and bygones. You can also learn of the town's fishing and agricultural heritage as well as seeing Stone and Bronze-Age relics, including a two foot 160 million year old ammonite!
After visiting the museum why not enjoy a stroll around the park? The park's frontage overlooks the Suffolk Broads and during the summer months there is Powerboat racing and many other attractions.
Lowestoft Museum is easily accessible from the town centre and its award winning beaches.
